Our Mission Statement
Chattanooga United’s Mission - to provide a unified, positive soccer experience for youth in the greater Chattanooga Community in a manner that develops and enhances their skills and passion for the game which translates into success both on the field and off.
History -Chattanooga United was formed in 2009 as a result of a merger between three local soccer programs, the Redoubt Futbol Club, Middle Valley Soccer, and the North River Soccer Association.
For years, the three clubs provided soccer opportunities for youth in the greater Chattanooga community through recreational and select programs. While these programs all had great success, the existence of three clubs operating competitive programs in the same relatively small community became a source of great confusion and frustration on many levels.
- Clubs competed for players
- Players had to decide where to go and which friends to play with
- Families had players playing at different clubs
- Clubs duplicated efforts
Chattanooga United merged these programs to capitalize on the positive attributes and resources of all 3 clubs, and eliminate the confusion and difficulties created by the existence of multiple clubs in one community. This should provide the Chattanooga Community with a single, unified program committed to developing the skills and success of our players and their teams – all the way through their high school years.
Chattanooga United will strive to develop the skill level of all players, from Division III to Division I. The players will be encouraged to participate in State Soccer Programs, National Soccer Programs and the Olympic Development Program. It is the goal of Chattanooga United’s coaches and leadership to prepare the player’s mind as well as body and to increase their knowledge of the game. The objective is to give them the ability and desire to play at their highest level possible, for their club team, school team, into their collegiate years, and as a life-time sport.
